My first creatinine level result was 1.37mg/dl. My doctor told me to go to the lab monthly to check every month. The second result was 1.17mg/dl. On the third month it went up to 1.32mg/dl. On the fouth month it went down to 1.18mg/dl. Fifth month went up again to 1.35mg/dl. Reference range is only .50-1.2.
I have a normal sonogram of both kidneys and urinary bladder.
I am worried about the fluctuated result on my creatinine level.
Creatinine results vary with many things including how hydrated you are, whether or not you are sick, and how much exercise you've been getting. From what I can see, your results are all fairly similar and could simply be due to differences in hydration. What you should worry about is a steadily increasing level. Then you have something to be concerned about.
Are you diabetic? Do you have high BP? What reason brought you to see you your doctor? Cora is right, if your creatinine fluctuates up and down, it might not be reason for concern, however, if it goes up, and keeps going up steadily, then there is reason for concern. Btw, do you have any physical symptoms?
Last year I visited my doctor due to my BP. It reached 160/120. But now my BP is very normal 110/70. I am not diabetic. I haven't noticed any symptoms as I feel very healthy everyday.
Does your replies mean, I have no problem with my kidneys?
