Recent CT showed obstruction, back pain for a week. Anyone with personal experience?? Scared, tired, pain.....Renal scan today showed little to no activity on left. Now what! First had symptoms in February, PCP and rheumy, said not kidney related! Really!!

Hey, ChilliP. Fellow Illinoisan, here. Obstruction of what? Post-renal, I take it, as perhaps ureter? There is a really good hospital in Peoria. You might see about trying to get in to see a specialist. You might just need to see a urologist. Have you had any blood tests or urinalysis yet?
Hi Deanne! Had renal scan yesterday, STILL waiting for urologist office to call. But dr is not even in today, and now we have the weekend. No blood work yet, just urine. Frustrated and in PAIN!!!!!
Watch the kind of pain med you can take. Please, if you are in pain this week-end, get yourself to an ER; you will have blood tests done. Please keep us apprised.
Just checked hospital record, I have UPJ obstruction. Waiting to hear what dr recommends probably surgery of some sort. (
Now have 21% gfr and dr recommended either removal or stent! Freaking out, should I get another opinion?
