4mm stone through urethra - how bad?
I've got a 4mm stone (my first and hopefully last) sitting right at the ureter/bladder junction. I'm expecting a touchdown run any minute/day now - a little nervous every time I go to pee! Actually, more than a little.
I find it hard to believe a 4mm stone can fit through the urethra, but see where lots of people pass them.
Can anyone tell me what I'm in for? Is it likely to slide out with relative ease, or am I in for a Kosmo Kramer circus bathroom scream? (That's a Seinfeld reference for you fans).
I realize everyone (and every stone) is different, but my nightmare is for the thing to get stuck in my urethra with a full bladder behind it - that must be a fate worse than death. My Uro said that happens only very, very rarely. But I can just imagine the pain en route to the ER with that situation!
Any advice from those who've passed a 4mm would be appreciated.
PS - incidentally, I did pass what at first looked like a piece of a stone today, but it turned out to be tissue I think, it wasn't hard, more like a tiny wet scab or something. Hopefully this is a sign things are coming along.
