| Passing over 60 kidney stones in a week
I have a kidney disease called medullary sponge kidney that has caused me so many problems. Both of my kidneys are full of stones and I have had several lithotripsy only to find out that it damaged my kidney not helped it. My urologist suggested I get percutaneous surgery but when I went to the surgeon he said that wasn't an option. He said any surgery I would have in my kidney would only damage them not help. So I have been having a lot of pain for almost a month now, have lost close to ten pounds and have not much of an appetite. The urologist put me on Toradol which does absolutely nothing for the pain. Recently as if last Thursday I began passing a lot of stones each time I went to the bathroom and have passed close to 60 stones in the last week. I work in a pharmacy so at the end of the day I'm really hurting and totally exhausted. My nephrologist isn't sure what is happening an has me on all the meds she possibly can. She was going to get with her team of mds and see what she can do to help me. Until then anyone have any suggestions? I'm getting so frustrated and can't take much more. Thank you
