I recently found out that I have stage three chronic kidney disease. GFR/egfr, I'm not sure which, is 56.
I've seen that protein in urine can cause bubbly or foamy urine. I have noticed that throughout the day. The odd thing is that I don't have it in the morning. Does this tell me anything about how my kidneys are functioning? Is there anything significant about it?
When you leak protein does not tell you anything. It is possible that since there is more urine and proportionally less protein in the volume, then you might have no foaming. The amount of protein is not a good indicator of your overall function. It is the total labwork that will tell you that.
