| Dead kidney
3 years ago I had a colon resectioning due to diverticulitis. During surgery they severed my ureter which I found out about in April of this year from a cat skan & that my kidney was dead & the ureter was enlarged to the blockage. My concern at this time is what I believe are symptoms from my dead kidney and inlarged ureter. The urologists I have seen feel I should be fine without surgery to remove it as long as I don't have a problem with my blood pressure. I am having nausea & loss of appetite, generally not feeling well with some discomfort on left side (dead kidney side). I am trying to find out what others have experienced with like problems (dead kidney).
