| A swollen leg/painful knee
Hi all, I sent the post below to "Arthritis" - so far, no response. Was wondering if someone here could help. Much appreciated!!
Hi everyone, aside from being diagnosed with FMS/CFS, cervical osteoarthritis and other maladies - I now have one swollen leg (knee, calf, ankle, foot.) One leg is clearly larger than the other. The pain is at the knee, and is excruciting at times. Moving certain ways (even in bed) will cause more pain. I have to walk sideways downstairs because I'm unable to bend knee fully. I've noticed the pain and swelling are exascerbated by standing/walking for long periods of time - ie: grocery shopping. An effusion was shown on a knee x-ray and fluid pockets within the medial and lateral popliteal fossa on a doppler ultrasound. Is this an arthritic condition? Thanks for your help...
