Hi All

I will give you a brief overview. I hurt my right knee in august the x ray revield that the knee is showing a little arthritis but that there was a problem with the meniscus and they thought that it had to do with the scar tissue. After several months we have tried conservative treatments such as antiimfamatorys, physical therapy and rest and its not working. According to the orthopedic he told me today that he thinks but not sure if the meniscus is torn or not so he is running an mri on thursday and I get the results next tuesday. He suspects that I tore my meniscus and that it will most likely need surgery if that is what comes back from the mri. My question is can anyone tell me what to expect from the meniscus surgery and what if any physical therapy is done afterwards and what the recovery time is after surgery? Any help would be helpful.
