Re: tendonitis/bursitis after hip replacement
Bursitis is felt directly in the back of the hip or on the side, not the thigh. Thigh pain usually is a result of a back problem. This is often caused by the legs not being the same length and putting undue pressure on your lumbar.
If you have had recent x-rays and the prothesis is stable then you need to discuss leg length and back complications with your doctor and possibly correcting the length using shoe lifts or insoles. Thigh pain is honestly most often a result of lumbar problems and agian bursitis is localized to the area only not the thigh.
No matter how great your illness or pain, there's always someone else who may be worse off.
