Knee pain that won't go away
Quick background... I'm a 29 year old guy who's pretty athletic. I tore my MCL in my knee about 7 years ago, but this seems to be in a different area of my knee.
I'm trying to figure out if I'm being a big baby or if I might have done some damage to my knee. About a week and a half ago, I dove after a loose ball and landed with the inside of my left knee first. There was no twisting or anything like that, just contact with the floor. It felt like my knee was frozen for about 5 minutes, and then finally I was able to move it. About 15 minutes later, I was able to finish off the game.
I expected it to be pretty sore the next day, but I had no issues with it when I woke up. A few days later, I started to notice a sharp pain on the inside of my knee. Each day, it's felt a little worse. My first step when getting up is always the worst. I feel the most pain when my leg is just short of fully extended. I don't notice any more pain with activity, it's pretty constant with walking / running.
Any thoughts or advice are appreciated.
