Question Can't stand up straight following THR

I had THR about a month ago. I can detect better range of motion, but still can't stand up straight. I've had arthritis in both hips for 10 years or so and got really bent over at the hip...not back, just hip. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do? My inclination is to find a hot tub kind of stretching therapy... What do you think

Re: Can't stand up straight following THR

i think you have muscles that have atrophied because of your
hips and stance. Have you been seeing a physical therapist
because you need one. Your muscles need stretching and
exercise to support your back. karen
