knee athroscopy

Three weeks ago i underwent knee athroscopy. I had been getting a pain in the back of my left knee whenever my knee got bent and had pressure on it. i went for a MRIscan and was told it was cartlidge tear, but in surgery discovered it was only soft tissue damage. They removed that and cleaned my knee and told me all was well. Since then tho there has been little improvement and pain i get when i.e when in squat postition is unbearable.

Re: knee athroscopy

I had what they called post-surgery trauma after an arthroscopy once. It hurt just about as bad as the knee did before the surgery. I had a couple of cort. injections that may have helped some. The pain lasted about 6 months.

Re: knee athroscopy

When I have had arthroscopy it took care of my pain for 2-4 years. But my pain came from wear and tear on the joint. After time the cart. will break loose again and that is what caused my the pain.

My arthroscopy repaired the joint but it didn't return it to the original state. It shaved the cart. and removed loose bodies.

You may have relief for longer than me but as long as there is pressure on the joint it will continue to wear.
