knee injury
Hello, I am new to the board. I injured my knee 1 week ago. I had to go to the ER which they x-rayed the knee. No fractures but they put me in a knee brace. I followed up with an orthopedist who ordered an MRI after he tapped the knee due to extreme swelling. The joint fluid was bloody. I had the MRI yesterday. Here is the report:
Large joint effusion
Torn ACL
Complex tear of the meniscus
popliteal cyst

What do you think the MD will recommend?

Probably depends on how much damage you have. I had ACL reconstruction but not everyone needs it.

I don't know how far you want to travel but Thomas Byrd in Nashville, the OS for the Titians, is outstanding. <removed>

Thanks for the reply. I am seeing an MD in Nashville. I don't know what he will do and I am awaiting his call to discuss treatment.
