It has been 8 months since my THR sugery..
I lead a totally normal life.
It was the best thing I could do for me.
I have a scar that is blending into my skin, nicely.....
I have no pain, no joint pain, and because I had lifts put on all of my sandals which I wear daily, I have had no spine problems..
The other hip was considered arthritic and was told at some point that I will probably need that hip replaced..
That hip is totally awesome... Have never had any problems with the other hip.
I don't run, as I'm not a runner.
But I swim, I hike, I walk, I dance.... I do my yoga, and it's like nothing was ever wrong with my bad hip.
I would do it again, tomorrow if told I needed a new hip.
So to all of you thinking about a hip replacement.... go for it.
You will probably have a longer leg when it's done, but no worries..
Just go see your local shoe repair guy and have him put added heels to all of your shoes.
Steer clear of any foods that cause inflamation
inflamation will only make your joints hurt unnessarily.
and with that bit of advice...
I will return for a 12 month update..
