I have chondramalacia, and have had my legs hurting at night. I had found that warm baths helped. I realized they hurt worse when I wasn’t very active, so I did the leg strengthen exercise. I had learned to ride a bike to where it didn’t hurt to peddle, I didn’t push with my knees I made my upper leg and hip do it. As I aged not much helped. I did find something that helped finally and I have been pain free for 3 years. I know someday I will need my knees replaced but I don’t hurt any more. Flair up now and then.
But that is what I had done before plus warm bed or heat, and yes the pillow helps too.
Good luck
u could see a doctor too
