| Did they check this??
I fell at work and injured my left knee and went to 5 WC doctors. They all said I had meniscul tear. Then I had surgery, and that doctor said I did not have meniscul tear. They decided I had pre-existing arthritis. But I have gotten much, much worse, can barely walk without a limp. Cannot go up or down stairs, etc.
Went to new doctor, and he asked if they scoped under the kneecap, and if they did more than just scrape in the knee? I have no idea, they just told me they scaped, and I didn't have a meniscul tear.
I have the surgical report, can someone please decipher this and tell me if they looked for a crack underneath the kneecap or did more than scrape? This could mean a reopening of my WC case. This doctor seems to think (do to my symptoms), that I have a cracked kneecap.
Range of motion of 3 degrees of recurvatum to 130 degrees flexion. No varus or valgus instability at 0 or 30 degrees. Lachman and posterior drawer were negative , no significant effusion. Scope then inserted into the suprapatellar pouch. No loose bodies and no significant synovitis withing the suprapatellar pouch. Patella tracked appropriately. No significant chondromalacia within the patellofemoral joint. Mild thickening of medial plica and mild chondromalacia along the medial aspect of medial femoral condyle. Thickening of plica was resected with shaver and minimal chondroplasty performed. Scope then in medial compartment, intact medial meniscus, grossly intact cartilage surfaces. Intact anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments. Scope then in lateral compartment , intact lateral meniscus, normal popliteus tendon, no degenerative change.
Well, that's it, did they check under the kneecap for cracks? I really need to know this, any help would be appreciated.
