Still sore and limping almost one year after THR

I had complete hip replacement last Oct 31. Most of the post op side affects have faded away (thank God), but I'm still sore. I've just taken my 3rd Advil today. I'm getting very anxious. This has become a three year ordeal and I just want my glorious independence back. Any feedback would be much appreciated!!

God's blessing to all...

Re: Still sore and limping almost one year after THR

Hi Michael....

You mention still being sore. Where? In the groin, thigh, at the incision site? Have you mentioned the soreness to your surgeon? Sounds like some inflammation.....more than likely from an uneven gait. Do you have a leg length difference?

Our muscles have to be re-taught and strengthened and stretched after THR....after months and possibly years of limping. There are specific exercises for proper gait training.

Good luck,
