Re: meniscus repair question

Generally, they correct meniscus injuries by an arthroscopy. If that is indeed what you are going in for, it is a minor surgery. Depending on how hard you work at rehabilitating it, you may be down for as little as a week. Unfortunately, when you injure your meniscus, there is little you can do besides surgery.

Re: meniscus repair question

Had surgery 6 days ago, was able to get around on walker, keeping weightoff knee for first 4 days. Started walking on it yesterday. I am 65 and have 2 big dogs. I had someone with me for first 4 days and was able to get around pretty well after second day. Go for it! Just follow Drs instructions to the letter and you should be up and going in a few days. I also will have the same surgery on the other knee in a few weeks. Anything to delay the dreaded replacements!!
