Just got back from the doctor and I, too, have patella femoral arthritis. Don't know what stage it is but he prescribed a physical therapist so that I can strengthen the muscles in my knees and hips. My knees have had a grinding sound since high school but I never went to the doctor for it until now. It bothers me to walk up steps, get up from a sitting position or from the floor (which I avoid at all costs) I will update on how the therapy goes. Anyone else have this and did an elliptical help? I am considering getting one.
