Surgery for Apparent Leg Length Difference
Hi All,

I have apparent leg length difference between my two legs. Physical Therapy and shoe inserts has not helped me. It causes pain in my back and knee as well.

Could some one please tell me if there is a surgical option for this and which doctor can perform this surgery?

It's my understanding that an orthopedic surgeon can do a leg lengthening procedure but whether that option is available or not depends on the cause of the leg length imbalance. Hope this helps.
