Hip ligaments over stretched

Does anyone have overstretched hip ligaments OR too those that are too tight? If so, what type of symptoms do you have and what do you do to help the pain?

Thanks

Re: Hip ligaments over stretched

For twenty years or more I've had back trouble. I've seen all types of practitioners and all MRI's (many) have been fine. Yet, despite that I get lumbar compression from muscle spasms - and also problems with sacrum. Yet, the worst is when my back is compressed the symptoms can be: SEVERE cramping in both feet and legs, weakness in feet/lower legs, pains in both feet, bladder problems. Yet, when the back does not feel as compressed it's not as bad. I have read that most doctors and radiologist dismiss Tarlov Cyst but that they can cause such symptoms. There is a dr. in Maryland who treats them I think and just a few other ones scattered in US and Europe I heard. So, I just started wondering if perhaps it is the Tarlov Cysts that are really causing the problem. That's my story in a nutshell.

Re: Hip ligaments over stretched

I have multiple things - Tarlov cysts included - just thinking about how much they may be impacting everything. In my opinion & from what I've heard and read , most doctors, have little knowledge of them.

Who are you? You sound like perhaps a doctor?

No I am not a doctor, I was an army medic UK , worked in operating theatres, was a PT, and acupuncturist, ran rehab gyms all many years ago, I have kept up my interest in the musculoskeletal field over the years.
I write to these boards because I have suffered many of the injuries over the years similar to other contibutors and I submit as an ex patient rather than a practitioner. Apart from my aching joints I am well.
I must admit Tavor cysts have not had much publicity, I suspect many people have them but present no signes or symptoms.
