The last 3 days I have been in agony. I have a CAM walker boot on my right ankle after tearing the ATFL 11 weeks ago. Was put in the boot 3 week after the injury, so 8 weeks in total at this stage.
My back/pelvis and hips are so sore I can't stand up straight to walk. Rolling over in bed has become almost impossible.
I have to stay in the boot until I have an ankle reconstruction and was told today because of our states $100 million health cut back, I may not be operated on until late Jan/ early Feb next year
I know its because I'm lop sided in the boot that I'm in pain, but even wearing a shoe of the same height hasn't helped.
What can I do? If I'm stuck like this until the surgery I won't be able to walk for the pain!
