Hi,
After having a few xrays and MRI the general consensus is I have a medial tibia step, not a meniscus tear like it was previously thought however there's over a year wait to see a specialist and the doctor I've been dealing with won't suggest any possible outcomes to me and is saying to wait to talk to the specialist. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with one and if so what was done.
What are your symptoms? Do you have a copy of the MRI report that you could type up for us?
My knee clicks and grinds and often locks up, constant serve pain, little swelling and physical therapy has made no change. I don't, I was shown it and it said no muscle or cartilage damage however there's a step on the medial side of the tibia.
I have grinding and locking, constant serve pain and am unable to completely straighten my leg. I've also been in physical therapy for a while and its just made the pain worse. I don't have a copy however I have seen it and it said no ligament or cartilage damage but there's a step on the medial side of the tibia.
I did back in November and since then I've gone to tons of doctors being told I'm over reacting and nothings wrong. Finally had one agree I should have another xray done last month and that's when they first saw it so they sent me for a mri and now I'm being shuffled around again being told there's nothing wrong.
I've tried a few however anything touching or wrapped around my knee causes even worse pain.
Well, if there was a fracture and it healed unevenly, you need surgery. As soon as possible, not a year from now.
My tibial plateau fracture was also missed on the first x-ray, luckily it was picked up a week or so later. I still have some problems, but I can walk.
