Need info on MUA - URGENT!

I am new and this is my first post. I had TKR on June 11, 2012. I go to pt 3x week and have 93 rom with therapist bending the knee. It has been very excruciating pain with them bending it trying to break of scar tissue to the point that I know longer trust them to even bend my knee just a little. I left a message for my doctor to contact me with other options and wanted to know more about manipulation. Has anyone had it? What was it like? What did you do in therapy after MUA? How soon were you back to what would be considerate normal? I have to be back at work by the end October.

Re: Need info on MUA - URGENT!

hi I had rotator cuff surgery may 14 and had to have shoulder MUA jul 23 I was petrified. This was without surgery. In my case there was a case of him breaking a bone cuz I have osteo or tearing something else. IT went fine and I have much better range now. I did have some increased pain for about a week, more soreness but now I've had 8 pt sessions afterwards and I've got really good ROM just have to get my strength back. cj

I know therapy is painful, I made sure I had pain meds in me. Also 93 isn't bad for me at 6 weeks out. It will get there, I think. . Be sure to do exercises at home too. I didn't have mua, but I finally reached 120 at 10 weeks. Don't give up.

Thanks for the encouragement Did you have scar tissue that the therapist was trying to break up? That is why I am so terrified because the therapist is trying to brek up scar tissue. I do relly well until that point of extreme pain.
