Re: Hip Hurts
Hi there -- welcome! One of the difficulties with hip pain is determining the real source of the pain. It could be sciatica, which is felt in the buttock area. It could be bursitis, which is usually felt at the outside of the hip. It could be pain in the internal hip joint, which is usually located where a person would indicate groin pain. If you are biking a lot, you might want to look at your body mechanics while biking, especially how your back is situated while you're on the bike. If the problem doesn't within ten days of rest and ice, you should probably see a doctor, who may be able to pinpoint the cause of the pain and potentially resolve the problem with physical or occupational therapy.
