| Prosthesis options for short people
Hi,
So i'm new to this forum and hoping someone can help me out.
I am in the process of talks about having elective knee disarticulation and cannot find any literature about prosthetics for short people (i'm 5ft 1in/ 156cm)...and this type of amputation will restrict my options (have amputee friends of similar height/build)
I understand that I am too short for a C-Leg...and that there is a prosthesis called Orion that I will likely be fitted with. But I hope to be more active than what this will allow ( I hope one day to be able to play sport again)
Does anyone know any short people that have been fitted with high impact bionic knees?....such as the Ossur Total knee or Genium leg??
Any advice would be much appreciated :-)
