| Wearing Heels after hip replacement
I was really prepared for my second hip replacement BUT I didn't think about the shoes I would be wearing after I went back to work. Or, more accurately I didn't realize that most of my pants are hemmed for a moderate heel (1 inch) and not flats. So, realized that I only have a few pants suitable for fall/winter wear that can be worn with flats. Darn. Wore my 1 inch heels today and as a consequence the tops of my feet are sore tonight. I had this problem pre surgery and doctor told me it was a consequence of gait being off. Am wondering if I will need to get all new shoes eventually. What are your experiences re shoes post surgery?
This weekend, will have to either get a few pairs of pants hemmed to wear with flats or buy a new pair or two so that I have more than two outfits to wear to work!
