Aggressive rehab post TKR
I am checking in for some feedback three months post surgery. Two days a week PT and four days on my own, now. I have continued to see incremental improvement in my flex, now 101 on my own. The PT gets me to 112 with significant pain. I had extensive scar tissue and a tibial plate removal due to previous surgeries with my TKR.
I am now getting significant post exercise pain. I weaned myself off my opiate pain med around Christmas; lesser meds don't seem to help, but I didn't want to take higher and higher doses. Should I fight thru the pain as necessary to slow healing to allow more flex, or back off more aggressive PT? Pain is sharp and deep. Keeps me up most nights, but it is not continuous.
