| Ongoing knee pain, unclear solution.
So over the past year I've had trouble with my left knee. I've had conflicting diagnosis ranging from patellafemoral syndrome to fat pad impingement to plica syndrome. There is a loud clunk in the knee when I walk and extend which the most recent ortho thinks is a combination of plica and fat pad. However, when I had an arthroscopy scheduled, in a last ditch effort to avoid it I went to an anesthesiologist. He said that the acl was loose even though the MRI didn't show it. He recommended Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Right now it is between getting an operation from Frederick Song in Princeton, and the opinion of an orthopedic surgeon named Gregory S. Difelice in NYC. Does anyone have any experience with either of these surgeons?
