Fractured left Patella non displaced

Hi,
First time post. I fractured my left knee cap non displaced playing sports.
Direct blow from a hockey stick. I was put in a rom brace for 6 weeks and crutches for 3.
since removal of the brace i have full rom. I experienced quad and calf shrinkage. U have been working hard with exercises to try recover leg strength since removal of the brace with my physiotherapist who i visit once a week and do my exercises at home myself. It has been 6 months since the injury and i am starting to feel a lot of pain in my knee when doing the exercises. i have a grinding sensation in my knee which seems to be getting worse. I still cant run or jump. I have had an mri recently with the doctora saying everything is good. However i dont feel like everything is okay as the pain us getting worse.

Just wondering has any body else has a similar experience with their recovery.
I used to play sports and train 5 nights a week but now cant. its depressing!
(Sorry about the novel but i just wanted to give as much detail as possible)
