Re: Pain in the Hip
My hip pain was caused by torn cartilage and bone-on-bone arthritis. Depending on the area of the joint, there could be numerous causes, even a disc problem in your back. If it's interfering with your quality of life, you should probably get checked out by a doctor. You might start out with a general practitioner.
I am experiencing severe pain in my left hip joint when I sit for any period of time. Aside from age (I'm 65). what issues could cause this type of pain?
As hip joint is considered to be one of the largest joint in the body and it involves a lot of motion. It might have been overused thatís why the pain is persisting or else it can be also due to Arthritis. You must for sure consult a doctor.
Hi, exactly where is it hurting? On the outside where you lay on your side sounds like bursa pain, you can get an injection in there and also lidoderm patches help it.
Down thru the groin sounds like the hip joint itself I'd see an ortho specializing in the hip where you could get an mri of the hip. He could also give you a "hip block" which would buy you more time before replacement.
