I had the lateral retinacular release surgery in May 2009. I completed the physical therapy after the surgery and joined a gym after that. However, I stopped going to the gym because I could not afford it anymore. I continued to speed walk on a beautiful trail. I also walk all over Manhattan, I work there, so I thought I didn't need to go the gym (but I was wrong obviously).
My doc says I have good cardio but not much strength because I never kept up with the weight machines. It just weird because my legs look muscular to a degree but my knees buckle very slightly and now they crack and make this clicking noise!
Has this happened to anyone else? I forgot to ask my doctor if the clicking will go away once I start building back the quad muscles. I"ll just have to wait to ask my therapist but if anyone can answer since I am curious, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
