WHY some people perfect Vision ASAP and others delayed?? - Lasik Eye Surgery Message Board

I was just wondering why some people have the lasik surgery and see excellent asap the next day, even if they had awful eye sight prior, and others have to wait weeks or months for the blurriness to clear up?? It doesn't seem fair.

yes pouting.... trying to be patient, but wondering why people can be so dramatically different?? Is it the indiv. person and how they heal? the age of the person? The Dr.? The machine? I'm just really praying and hoping the Dr. didn't mess something UP!

I would have paid a lot more if the Dr. would have said it will be perfect tomorrow... the no guarantees thing is scary... but you go into it thinking you wil be the perfect one... ha..

Any answers send them my way. Still trying to remain calm... annoyed! Sorry for grumbling... (just over 3 weeks, imroving VERY slowly but wished I had had the next day Great results where I could say WOW! and went on with my life, I have EYES on my mind all day long, just irritable and annoyed and losing patience. I know complaining doesn't solve anything, but getting answers eases the stress some and worry. I have a huge coldsore and face even breaking out from all the worrying I think. ARG.

I really wish I knew the answer to this question, but I'm not sure there is one. I'm a worrier too, and this whole lasik recovery thing has been very hard. Unfortunately, everyones eyes heal at different rates, and I'm not sure there is a reason. Even your own two separate eyes can heal at different rates! It is a shame that we all can't wake up the next day with perfect vision and comfortable eyes, but unfortunately, not everyone is an overnight success story. You are still very early in healing though, so try to hang in there, and I hope you start seeing some big improvements soon!
