Continued vision improvement

My doctor says that my vision will continue to improve over time since my lasik surgery of a week ago. I can see much, much better, however, think that I could possibly be seeing even better. Thanks for any replies and input.

Talking Re: Continued vision improvement

hI, Where do you go for your lasik? I am also from New Jersey, I went to a Doctor in Ridgewood, NJ. I had custom lasik almost 5 months ago, Myvision was horrible, -9.50 and -10.00. The first couple of weeks I wondered why I did it. Because you think once you have it done, you will have 20/20 vision. Well that's not true. Your vision does improve over the next couple of weeks or months. My vision is still changing. One week it is better then the previous week. My vision now is about 20/25 20/30. I go for another check up in November. But I think this is where I will end up. It does get better, but it takes time.

Hope this helps. Dry eye was not a big deal!!!!

Re: Continued vision improvement

yes, steady SLOW improvement is the norm with lasik! and don't be surprised if one day you're seeing great, and then suddenly you blink and everything is horrible again. happened to me ALL the time for the first several months!!! it took me about 6-7 months for my vision to get to 20/12.5 in both eyes, so dan-girls, you could still get to at 20/20 yet! use those artificial tears twice as much as you think you need them. it's amazing how much your vision will improve if you don't have dry eyes! i didn't think my eyes were dry at all (they didn't feel dry), but when i went in for a check up, the doctor said they were really dry and that i needed to use my artificial tears more, so i did, and that was when i really noticed a big improvement! good luck to both of you!
