Angry Frustration

When Lasik surgery doesn't go well what's really frustrating is not having anyone to turn to since the people at your Lasik provider are likely to give responses that best cover their butts. Meanwhile, you're left with subpar vision. They may be honest but they will still spin things in the most favorable light for them. Oh, if I only knew then what I know now. This "ideal candidate" wound up with less than ideal eyesight after the procedure. And I've learned that the place I went to took some shortcuts during the process. They didn't go the extra mile and I'm paying the price. It's infuriating. I don't know what to do. I just know I'm very angry and disheartened about the whole thing. I wouldn't recommend Lasik to anyone because I wouldn't want to be responsible for any problems they might have. I think people who give glowing recommendations because things went well for them are putting someone else's eyes in jeopardy. The most they should say is, "My Lasik surgery turned out great but that doesn't mean that yours will."

The risks are usually downplayed by the Lasik providers, themselves. People with minor issues usually report being satisfied with the procedure, which further skews the results.

Re: Frustration

Lasik Docs are some of the worst people out there they will do anything to make a buck, they are basically playing Russian Roullete with peoples lives. I have not been able to work in about a year now because the eye pain after my lasik surgery has made it virtually impossible. I'm currently living a nightmare because people that should know better are performing this surgery. I really hope that one day I will be able to live life again.

What you wrote is so true and what people do not know is that you eyes will never be the same again. Especieally if you used any strong medication before in your life, you will end up with problems or if you one day will have to use that....

Re: Frustration

It is fine to vent, but do not name names. That is slander unless you have a court proven case of doctor responsibility.

Everything is buyer beware. Outcomes of dealing with a living body are different. Everyone must do their own research and decide what risks they are willing to take.

At any rate, do not use this website to slander anyone for any reason.
