Re: Ok, I have found a good way to describe my affliction!
Those questions all ways get me stumped and i recently had a dyslexia test carried out and found out that this was my problem (along with some other things too, to do with maths but i dont know what its called). Anyway i was doing my final exams for my current job and ended up taking 1 exam 4 times because it had too many of these questions in, well i had my test, got some help on reading and understanding these questions and passed my exam straight away, and my finalls i flew through.
Im not saying this is your problem but have you been checked for this?
Re: Ok, I have found a good way to describe my affliction!
Sammie, I have not been checked for dyslexia, and it doesn't seem that I'm going to be able to, cause, the docs just don't want to accept the possibility for some some reason.
I do think, I have some sort of dyslexia, and as far as math goes, I can calculate numbers pretty good, but I have trouble with things like this.....
I can never learn that when someones lends me money, that I owe them, I keep thinking they owe me, I get it turned around, and I really have to think about it hard to realize who owes who. Once I figure that out, I have no trouble calculating the amount owed. I constantly confuse buy and sale.
Do you do this as well?

Re: Ok, I have found a good way to describe my affliction!
You could always get yourself tested privately, Its about £150.00 here in England but at the end of the day if you get to the bottom of the problem it will be worth it.
Are you at a college or school where they can refer you to a specialist and help with the financial side.
My college sent me to a specialist, it took about 1 1/2 hours and i had to resd aloud, solve puzzles (which i was appauling at!) add up, times, takeaway and divide and see the difference between two pictures at a quick glance, i also had to explain a story which was read to me.
It wasnt difficult and it didnt hurt, it was enjoyable having to try and do something that you hadnt done before. My results wernt bad but they wernt good either, hence why i got the support i needed.
