Does this sound like a learning diability?

I have trouble remembering the simplest conversations, movies, music, whatever.

I also have trouble thinking of something to say. My conversation is short and includes the same phrases over and over again.

Any insight would be appreciated. I have only just begun to figure this thing out.

Hey your not alone, I have this problem to a small degree. Personally I think I'm just a little on the not-so bright side, but it could be worser thing in your condition.

You could try taking some herbal remedy for your memory, I am sure some people will let you know what works best for them.

How is your self esteem, how do you feel about yourself? You could try some classes, something you are interested in. this will start to build your confidence.

Good luck.

Talking Re: Does this sound like a learning diability?

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I am a special education teacher so learning disabilities is something I feel I know a little about. This does not sound like a learning disability. It sounds like maybe you may have a memory problem or a problem with your expressive language...meaning you just don't know what to say. Believe me I feel like that alot of the times. Not sure whatthe conversation was about. Also, clueless on how to respond. Hope this helps. There are many websites that explain what a learning disability is and how it may effect you. No worries!!!

Re: Does this sound like a learning diability?

Thank you all for your responses.

So what your saying, archville77, is to consciously make an effort to remember the things I read/watch/hear. You have also experienced the same problem. What did you do? What kind of exercises did you practice? Right now, I repeat everything over and over in my head. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Did I lose the ability to remember by not using my brain?

Thanks again for everything everyone.
