attention deficit disorder

is it common in adults (43yrs old) to suffer from ADD, i also have just started studying again i spent 2 years at our local Technikon in 1987/88 but left with no qualifications, i have always struggled with studying and only just passed all school subjects although things did improve for the 2 year perion i spent at boarding school where a gooding hiding was the motivator and of course our nightly 3 hour prep under guidance.

I do enjoy reading interesting subjects, but i have a serious memory problem and really dont retain much that i have read or studied and this really frustrates me beyond believe.

I have also been on anti depressants for the past 11 years namely Efexor 75mm and Cipremal, so also take the odd sleeping tab but i seem to be relying more and more on them.

is there anyone out there who can give me advise or help.

Re: attention deficit disorder

Yes, some adults do have problems with ADD. Come check us out on the ADD board.
