Hi,
my mom completed her treatment with this drug for Hairy Cell, she was treated a little differently I think than most. She was given the IV once a week for 7 weeks. She had the usual side effects that included low counts,
flu like symptoms, tired etc. I really need someone's help here because I am not sure if she is being told the right information. She finished her treatment
about 6 weeks ago and although while on the treatment her white count never dipped below 2.00 it is now 1.0 and won't increase. is this normal?
does it take longer for the counts to come up? when do you know if this treament has worked? and how do you if it worked? I am sorry for all these questions but I am worried about her and I know that the people on this board on so kind and considerate so I thought that I would ask for your help.
