Question Concerned and questioning

Hi.. I hope someone can explain this to me. I was diagnosed with eosinophilia about three years ago (eosinophil count was 1000).. the doctors seemed to think that it was just due to extreme allergies..however in the last year for no known reason I became very anemic when my hgb. dropped to 7 and ferritin to 2I take 3 slow fe a week to maintain a 12.5 now. Can this be leukemia? Should I be concerned and look further into this? My family doctor says "you're fine, probably just don't absorb iron well". I don't know anything about leukemia but something here just doesn't seem quite right to me.. any insight into this would be appreciated. Have a great day!
