| Portal Vein Thrombosis
My Friend has been in hospital for almost a month now and the doctors are still unsure if they should operate. She has Portal Vein Thrombosis. This has caused veins in her neck to ruptur and because she is inemic she bleeds alot. SHe is getting 7 bags of blood per day. Each time this happens it effects her liver. She is getting tested for cihrosiss. Currently in australia there has only been 3 people operated on in this situation. she is scared to have the operation because of how rare it is but doesn't want to risk her viens popping again. can any ony give me some information so i can help her make a decision. Please
