Hi there. I'm wondering if anyone has some realistic ideas about possible causes for an enlarged liver? One of my new doctors (seems I'm being tested for just about everything these days) found that my liver was "palpable below costal margins" last Friday (which I guess explains why I've become increasingly uncomfortable in most sitting/lounging/laying down positions - though I hadn't realized the liver was the culprit until he nearly killed me by touching the darn thing!).

Thanks for any ideas. No, the doctor didn't say anything like "gee it could be this, or possibly that", and yes I'm impatient to have a sense of whether or not it's even important that one's liver is "enlarged".
