Pins and Needles in Liver Area? - Liver & Pancreas Disorders Message Board

I have had pain in my upper right side for 7 months. During some of these bouts of pain, it feels like my liver is filled with pins and needles and becomes "dead weight." Anyone else have these pains? Any answers?

Have you been checked for gallstones or had a liver panel test?

I had a CT, ultrasound, blood work. The doctors were focusing on my other side too (which also had pain and ended up being dianosed as a fractured spleen!!). The CT revelaed that the liver was of an "abnormal" shape--but the doctors said not to worry about it. The doctor said he's seen this shape before--the liver just happens to go on the other side of the spleen too. I am getting scared because the pains are getting worse. I have a GI appointment in 2 weeks.

I am experiencing an ache in the liver area its been going on for months now soI understand how you feel. I don't have liver stones as a recent scan showed I didn't. I have raised ALT and a fatty, coarse liver and am waiting to see another specailist.

Hello. I posted something like this today on the digestive disorder site. I feel like a pinching/tightness in URQ and when I massage around the area, I feel better. I fell forward and landed on my stomach a few months ago, and ever since, had lower back pain as well as pain in my lower stomach. It seems like the feelings I have been having in my URQ are connected, but I'm not sure.
