Just some info for those who are interested. My liver enzymes were elevated so I got some info from my doctor. (also, thank you to those who also responded to my inquiry) According to the British Journal of Sports Medicine, and based on their investigation into the effects of strenuous exercise on commonly used biochemical variables in subjects running the 2002 London marathon, these are affected by prolonged exercise and "abnormal" results in these tests may be normal after prolonged exercise and therefore not diagnostic to a disease process. The results of investigations in patients who have been exercising should be interpreted with caution. My doctor graphed my results from several liver enzyme tests, and they are elevated, but consistent over time and the numbers are not increasing. I have no symptoms of liver disfunction, so I have started to take milk thistle, (spelling?) which my doctor says has been very succesful in reducing liver enzymes in her other patients. I will re-test in about 3 months and I will post results to see if the milk thistle works. Thanks for listening.
