my friend had a laproscopic exam yesterday, dr said he thinks it's liver cancer. next step is a biopsy. she's been fatigued lately and about a month ago she had a violent bout of nausea which was never explained. are these typical signs of liver cancer? if it is cancer, does anyone know the odds of beating it? he said to her "cancer is a general term, there are many kinds of cancer so don't get too scared right now".

Nausea can be a typical symptom of cance but it can be related to so many other things. When the doctor said "cancer is a general term, there are many kinds of cancer so don't get too scared right now", I would say that is an ok nondetailed answer. Basically more tests are needed to know what you are dealing with. I hope everything works out ok.
