quick question

i had blood work done on monday because i havn't been feelin like myself(little bit of pain in lower stomach, tiredness, and not hungry often) i just recived my results. they told me the doctor wants to have more blood work done because my liver function results were kind of high.

what seems to be the problem?

Jansport - Hello there... There are just so many, many things that could cause liver enzymes to be elevated..... Two of the commonest are Medications and Alcohol consumption..... Just stay calm and your Doc will help you figure it out...

Re: quick question

A month is the usual time frame for rechecking your #'s to see if they are going back down on their own--and most of the time they do--and the U/S is to check for fatty liver and/or cysts. Most ppl have them and they don't even know it--they are very common and not a cause for concern--benign. They'll just leave them alone and maybe recheck them in a year or so to make sure they haven't grown. They can raise your liver enzymes also.(as can anything/everything we eat, drink and breathe--including viruses, colds and flu...) Hope this helps. Hang in there..

Hi Jansport... If you got your bloodwork and they want another test then you should ask WHY ?? But it's Great news that you dont have hepatitis....
Did you get a copy of your blood test ????? Most people dont.....

And Happyelf is right.... So many simple things could cause abnormal results... Hang in there...
