| Does a scan show everything?
After my appointment with gastro a few days ago I was told 'fatty liver' I asked if serious or even cirhosis as had a scan a few months ago. Also my elevated ALT has dropped to 36 now and was more or less told no. I asked about liver pain and Dr said they could look for other causes i.e camera down throat etc but after consulting her boss decided to do another Liver Profile and bring me back in 6 months. So my question is can NASH (which I believe I have by symptoms) or cirhosis show up on a scan as well as a fatty liver? I am still as worried as ever even thought the specialists don't seem to be so. I also asked what I can take for the discomfort and was told the usual over counter pain killers were ok!! Do I beg to differ!!!
