| Re: Hemangiomas on Liver?
I had one of these little SOBs inside of my spinal cord.they are basically little globs of venously fed blood vessels, not aterial so they are low pressure.tho they can bleed from time to time it is usually just a bit of an ooze.they are kind of unpredictable as far as when or what actually would trigger an actual bleed.in the spinal cord a bleed can be devistating, but in your liver, the risks would be very minimal.mine bled twice and since there is no actual room or 'give" inside the cord,it caused me some major problems and it needed to be removed.but the liver is not this way in its structure so any ooze would probably just be reabsorbed and NOT life threatening in any way.luckily for you this is the low pressure type of the vasular malformations, on the flip side AVMs are basically the same type of thing but are very high pressure and can cause many many major issues.these are actually most common in the brain and spinal cord.i would think that your angiomas would not cause you any real big issues to have to deal with.Just would probably have to be monitored once in a while with an ultrasound orMRI.no biggie, really.Marcia
