Pancretitis - Liver & Pancreas Disorders Message Board

I don't know id this is the right forum to post this but I am 6 months pregnant and I started geting a sharp pain right under my right breast. I didn't think much about it and my doctor decided to run some blood tests. I got a call and they said I needed to take iron supplements and they mentioned soemthing with my liver enzymes and said I might have pancretitis. I have to go see a speciaist. What does pantcretits have to do with the liver?

Um Im not for sure what the panceras has to do with the liver, but i can say this much if you had pancreatites "sp?" I think you would be hurting on the left side not right..I know when I had it my lord the pain would start on my left side and it would work its way around to the left side of my back nor could i eat..i was always nauseous and in pain im talking like a knife stabbing pain... You're right, the nurse on the phone gave me the wrong info. It wasnt my liver enzymes, it was my pancreas. Amylase and Lipase. whatever they are.

Anyway I still dont have an answer fromt he doctors whats wrong with me but very nervous. They said because I am pregnant they are limited to the tests they can run.
