Try not to stress too much over things Sassylassy, you're doing the right things at the moment and you'll get back a prognosis soon enough.
I have also had my gall bladder out and have had pains in the same area. Thing you have to remember is that your gall bladder is in the same place as your liver. Whether it's phantom pains or not is questionable, I'd be more likely to consider the possibility of stones in your bile ducts or perhaps an inflamation of the liver, both of which will cause similar symptoms.
The Abdo CT will allow the doctors to detect inflamation of the liver, but if they want to look for obstructions in your billary tree, they'll need to order a CT cholangeogram instead (which is similar to a normal abdo CT, just a little longer and more focused on the one region).
Try to relax though if you can. You are going through a lot of stuff I went through over the last 4 months and I know it's scary as hell, but until you have some results there's not much you can do but wait. If the stress and worry is getting on top of you, make sure you mention it to your doctor and get something for it.
When your doctor can tell you what's going wrong, you'll feel better right away anyhow - that's how it was for me.
Keep us in the loop and get plenty of rest!
Cheers
